Much of the wedding day is filmed with a documentary approach, capturing moments unobtrusively as they unfold - especially during the ceremony, speeches, & first dance. There may be some very subtle directing here and there, for instance, during the couple portrait session, but on the whole, I try to blend in with your guests.

Throughout the day, we use on-camera microphones to capture the natural ambient sounds around you — guest chatter, laughter, and the atmosphere of the setting.

For the ceremony and speeches, we discreetly place small lapel or pocket microphones either on the person speaking or connected to the venue’s sound system. This ensures we capture clear, high-quality audio of your vows and speeches.

An engagement session can be added to any package and can help you feel more confident in front of the camera. They often take place outdoors, such as in a park, woodland, or lake, and are very relaxed.

Sometimes called a pre-wedding shoot, the session gives you a chance to practice posing, pick up tips, and understand what feels most natural to you as a couple. The images are also perfect for save-the-dates or your wedding website.

I’ll gently guide you when it’s helpful, like during couple portraits or family photos, without anything feeling overly staged or forced. The feedback I hear most often from my couples after the wedding day is that they felt completely at ease & were able to truly enjoy their day. 

You’ll receive a preview gallery within 72 hours of your wedding day, with your full wedding photography gallery delivered within 6 weeks. I carefully edit every image to ensure your photos feel cohesive and reflect my signature style.

Your wedding photos are delivered via a private online gallery, ready to download and share.

The final number of images depends on your coverage, but you can expect a minimum of 75 professionally edited photos per hour, so 750 images for a 10-hour wedding day.

I can do both! I generally adapt my approach to suit your wedding day and its logistics. If you and your fiancé are getting ready at locations close to one another and you’re planning a more intimate celebration with around 100 guests or fewer, I would typically photograph the day on my own.
If you’re getting ready in different locations and would like coverage of both sides of the morning, along with additional angles during the ceremony and speeches, particularly for larger weddings of over 100 guests, I would usually recommend a second photographer.
I’m always happy to advise on what would best suit your plans, & I have a trusted in-house team for second shooting. NB: a second photographer is already included with Collection I.

As stressful as this thought can be, I would urge you not to worry about this at all! I have been a photographer for well over a decade - so I’m very experienced at working with all kinds of weather! Regardless of whether I have photographed at your venue before, I will ALWAYS have a ‘shoot plan’ that accounts for all scenarios. So you will come away with gorgeous photos, whatever the weather. Plus, rainy wedding days can be just as beautiful - soft light, umbrellas, and covered spaces often create stunning atmospheric images! Whatever happens, I’ll guide and support you so everything feels relaxed, natural, and exactly how it should!

Yes — I always work with a full backup system. I photograph weddings with two identical professional cameras and a wide range of lenses - so there’s a complete backup in place on the day.

In addition, each camera I use records images to two memory cards simultaneously. So every photograph that is taken is instantly backed up the moment it is captured.

I also carry multiple flashes, lighting equipment, batteries, and accessories, so I’m fully prepared for the day from start to finish.

I understand why the thought of this can feel worrying, but I can assure you that there would have to be a very serious reason for me not to attend.

Fortunately, no such emergency has ever come, but I totally get why this may be a concern for you. If the unexpected were to happen, the first point of call would be coverage by a team member(s) - they know and work with me consistently.

Alternatively, I have a strong, far-reaching network in the wedding industry. Of course, if you prefer to make your own arrangements, you would receive a full refund.

I hold full public liability insurance and can provide documentation for your venue if needed.

I’m also insured for professional indemnity, equipment, and travel.

All insurance is in place, professional, and up to date.

Booking is simple.

Your wedding date is secured with a signed agreement outlining your chosen photography collection and terms, along with a 25% booking fee.

The remaining balance is then due no later than 30 days before your wedding day.
